as with everything there are pros and cons to the fishing websites we use and enjoy,i think in our society today with the increasing population and types of people we encounter in our daily activities i think its great that there is so much info available for these people that are new to the sport to learn from.As well as learning techniques , run timing fishing methods etc,it also helps with people getting involved on the side of river cleanups and conservation as well as making people aware of the important issues that plaque our increasingly sensitive fish stocks. On the negative side of things though i think that the advent of the internet ,like so much other technology in our society today has made us lazy and want everything made easy for us.What ever happened to the days before the internet, for me i can tell you there were many days flogging the local rivers learning how to fish,to read water, presentation, best times to fish, best baits ,colours to use ,and the best spots to fish, there were more secret spots back then and they were usually found by actually going out and spending time on your favorite flow and learning, and when you arrived at your secret spot only to find another person fishing it,it wasn't a problem because you knew that person probably has put in the time to fish and walk the river to find the secret hole and just didn't sit at home on the computer waiting to hear pinks at Cate's park get out there.I guess what i am saying is get out there and fish and enjoy the time on the water wether you come home fishless or not,the more time we spend on the internet means less time to find that secret hole.
