Tidal Fraser-September 5,2007
« on: September 05, 2007, 03:17:16 PM »

Got shut out chasing after coho this morning so I decided to try for my first Fraser river pink of the season. Fished a section from shore around the New West area, used homemade spinners and was able to land a decent limit of pinks on the incoming tide. Fishing was slow at times but the couple schools that did go by were "MEGA" schools and everybody was into fish as they went by. One of the pinks was so fresh that I thought it was a coho for a moment.  Time to go make up some brine ;D

Very nice. :) With the tidal difference during the daytime increasing as we approach next weekend, this will only get better. I almost came out, but still kind of hyper from this morning so I decided to work instead and calm myself down. ;D

What's for dinner then? Obviously not pink salmon, again. ;D

Fishersak is fishing right now, he'll probably report if you missed something.

Was out for about 20 mins tonight, didn't have a lot of time to give it a go. ::)  But there was still a far amount of Pinks around on the out going tide at about 8 pm and was lucky enough to hook into a nice scrappy 5 or so lb Buck.  Landed that one then the girlfriend showed up and I had to go.  Looks like it may be time to start heading out after work. ;D

Was out this morning for a while and managed to land one on my second cast, but got nothing except a few bites over the next couple of hours. Decided to go back out for a couple hours before sunset, and there were many people out but not many fish were being hooked up until then. At around 6:30 a large school came through and I managed to hook 4 and land 2 of them. Also saw several other people hook fish, but only 4 or so that were landed. The 3 that I landed today were males and the 2 that I lost were females  ??? But they still tasted great  ;D
