Great day of fishing... for some people September 22nd, 2007
« on: September 22, 2007, 06:00:36 PM »

Hello fishers,

spent a day on the river just outside of calgary with a local troutbum and a bc trout-aholic...  I caught the first fish, but it was also my last fish  ???  Oh well, thats fishing.  Everyone else seemed to do pretty well.

The river in fall is very scenic, and very cold.

It almost looked like rain for a few minutes, but instead, blue winged olives started to hatch like crazy.

Mark never misses an opportunity to catch a few on dries.

Biff got the big fish of the day a couple of times over.

Mark thought he got the big fish of the day...

Catch this one in a year or two and we'll see  ::)

My fish of the day...

Then the roudy people came over and tried to step on our spare rods.

As always an excellent day on the river.

I just moved back home from U of C today its a nice area and those are some pigs and sweet pics. Im amazed at the wildlife there is such an urban area. In this week alone we stayed at a friends in NW calgary and had a bear, two moose and lots of deer in the yard

Thanks again for taking me out Jonny. It was a wonderful experience tying into those legendary Bow River beauties.  ;D ;D ;D

Certainly makes me miss salmon fishing a lot less.  :o

I took a few pictures while I was off fishing above you guys, but this the only one that I think turned out ok.
