A friend was out today and he said the water was up about 6 inches but it was chocolate brown. He was there first light so it can be different now. Not really the best condition so save your gas money.

Here's a site that I use:

http://scitech.pyr.ec.gc.ca/waterweb/hydroportfolio.asp

Just go to "Edit List" and select Chilliwack River from the list.

Just heard from someone who was at the river this afternoon, he said it is dirty. I will check it too, I might find a Maple Leaf Drennan as well with the rising waters. ;D ;D

This is what happens when some people ask for rain, never never do that at this time of year. :(

As well it provides a opportunity for some to take non biting fish. :-X

I will also confirm that it was fairly chocolatey too.  Not Chris' famous Double Double, but still has a fairly good tinge to it.

I was wondering what people were doing when they were asking for rain.  It looks like all that rain dancing that was going on will bring on another inch and a half tomorrow.

Just got back from the Chilliwack Vedder and drove it from the Freeway Bridge, KWB and up to the famous Limits Hole. ??? I had to pick up some marker posts that Lew and Terry had out to identify areas to clean on BC Rivers' Day that were in the upper river.

The conditions at the Freeway Bridge and KWB I thought were very poor but by the time I got to the Limits Hole things were fishable. On the way down stopped at Tamahi Rapids and conditions were good there as well and they were below the active clay slides.

Fishing practices at the three mentioned places I visited had questionable methods. ::)

Will be a hard call for tomorrow depending of course on rainfall, no rain dances please.

"Fishing practices at the three mentioned places I visited had questionable methods."

Probably not using long enough leader to get down to the fish? ::)
Any news on Dewdney?

water is dark, I guess the drift fishing was fun while it lasted. :)
Roe is back in the freezer, out come the baitcasters and long leaders. :(

Still raining out in the Chilliwack area. Looks like it will continue through the night unfortunately.

Just check conditions at Vedder Crossing and was surprised to see at the moment it is fishable. Of course conditions can change at any time due to the unstable clay slides.

I saw fish being pulled in as well.

Looks like I might as well head out there seeing as I'm off school right now.

If anyone could post pictures or start a post of different areas of the flow it would be great. ;D
