River conditions excellent again today. I had many chances at first light but the fish were taking it very lightly. ???

I even switched over to a Maple Leaf DNE for the first time ever, just had the top of float showing so a slight dip I knew a fish was there, nice floats by the way.

I am not sure if the coho saw the fresh blue and white Maple Leaf logo and then let the bait go. ;D ;D

Although I did christen it with a nice wild buck, in the 7 pound range.

Very windy now and mild so it may melt some of the snow in the hills. Rain has just started, hope it is not what they forcast so the river will stay in.

Will give an updated river report at dark.

It's been pouring here in the Ridge for hours  >:( . May sneak away for a few this afternoon if the rain lets up.

thanks for the report chris, i'm thinking of the chehailis as i agree w/ about the warmth/snow melt, but i ask you do you think it will colour up the upper river? seeing as you are a definite local!look forward to you pm report as the ved was my first choice but the rain has me thinking.........thinking too much.....i think i'm sick...........anglingitis! :)
Just got up from a nap and I see it is really coming down now. I will file a report on conditions around 7:30 but I do not think I will be checking above the slides. Maybe someone else will.

Chris just phoned from Tamahi, reporting 6" of visibility. Snow melt is apparent, so those who are interested going tomorrow may want to change their plans.

Yes things were not good and the river is on the rise. Visibility at the Limits Hole about the same as Tamahi. Snow melt happening. When I checked at KWB the Island was flooded but visibility was a bit better as silt maybe settles out some. Rain has stopped now but a hard call for tomorrow. :-\

Those at Tamihi were of course pulling them in. ??? Rodney has pictures of conditions if he wishes to post including one of a lovely sunset taken at Vedder Crossing on a Thanksgiving Sunday. The pictures shows we have a lot to be thankful for, happy Thanksgiving, enjoy it with friends and your loved ones.

Careful what you fellas wished for

Its not the rain thats causing the melt. It actually has not rained all too much today, its the rise in temperature

One thing we noticed earlier today was how warm the wind was when it started blowing.  Really weird but the snow melt is understandable given the mild conditions today.

No rain overnight, fairly cool now and I see gauge at Vedder Crossing dropped overnight so hoping the system will be in today.

Just checked it in the Vedder Canal area, one word MUD, the snow melt did its job.

The good part was I found about 50 floats while checking the conditions. ;D ;D Enjoy your turkey dinner.
