Cap- Mid River
« on: September 28, 2007, 12:52:49 AM »

Hey, time to head out to Chilliwack , I guess !

Spent the day around mid river , seeing if I could really wreck my ankles- well the water is warm , if you're hiking alot.

Not much up - waters medium low. Some coho boots and carcasses around , and some small cuthroat. Won't be anything up until the next big rains, maybe 3 weeks. I did hear a couple HUGE splashes , which was promising , until I made out what I first thought was a badger - turned out to be a healthy looking beaver , patrolling the hole , and cracking his tail , when he wanted to make a point of some kind ! Go figure...........See ya'll in the valley !!

While winter steelhead fishing on the cap this year during high water I was fishing with the beaver and he coerced the fish into showing themselves for me, I managed to catch a chrome doe hiding from the beaver at a tail out underneath some branches.
