Water in perfect conditions. Spoke to a couple of anglers who saw only 1 fish moved through in the 2 hours they were fishing. Saw a couple of cohos caught by jiggers. They did their utmost best to camaflage their dubious techniques. :(

Very disappointing year on the cap. Few fish and the ones that are there aren't biting so well. The numbers of fish has got to be down. It's like last year all over again except a month early.

I'm still waitig for the steady stream of big boys. So far alot of jacks. They are definately outnumbering the springs by at least 6-1. :'( :'(

I got two on Tuesday. One Coho, one spring. There were two noticable schools that blew through the upper river that day. River was VERY high, but spinners got them in a nice pool. Hardly a person in sight.

Went back yesterday (Friday), and it was a gong show - even in my quiet spot. Only saw a few jumpers, and it was SLOW. I wonder how many got through when the river was very high.

Cap... are you guys fishing the lower river at all or all up in the pools? I"m a fly guy and those pools are a _itch to get a fly working in.... Maybe time to pull out the old rod and reel and start bait casting again...

Seymour... Went out yesterday, what was gin clear, high but very fishable... Problem there - no fish - not a one... Ran into a few regular fly guys and they all reported the same.

The cap will blow it's top overnight for sure. Big rain and big wind. Hopefully equals big fish. Will take a gander out tommorrow.Got into my first chum of the year today and managed one beauty 5 lb coho.Alot of work for two fish.

I believe a good number of fish blew by last high water but not the numbers we're used too. Anyone take a peek at the hatchery ?

Still a lot of dark fish in raceway with a few silvery fish.  Mind you that info is only from Friday when I was there.  Slow overall for me.  That rain did bring in a bunch of fresh ones though and they just flew through the system.

Brought my rod to the cap today but didnt get a chance to fish as the water was raging high. One fellow was fishing halfway down the stairs at the cable pool :o, a guy that was bottom bouncing the cable pool managed to hook into a couple big springs but they didnt stay on for very long. There are some fresh coho coming in but they arent easy to find when the water is so high.
