Where's the option for "I don't really have any luck catching coho!"

LOL... really though, I've had the most luck tossing spinners in the past.  Trying to learn how to float blades though lately.

Spoons have produced a ton of fish, but blades,  probably twice as many

Fly for me. I get very bored watching a float go down river. A well presented fly can actually out fish bait. Just takes time on how to do it.

Back in the day when you could buy live herring and you fished them with light limber mooching rods, single action reels without drags, and an ounce of lead out from Halfmoon Bay at Mary Is. it was an absolute blast!  Unfortunately, those days are gone....no live bait, very few fish in the Strait, and too many seals.  It's only a fond memory now.

Now I like to use flies/bucktails in the ocean (ECVI), big honkin blades fished off a float in slow coloured water (watching the float reminds me of chronie fishing), or flies in clearer water.  Prefer not to use guts...works great but too messy.  Also, I like the way coho fight when there isn't any lead in the equation...I find when you use it they tend to roll up the line a whole lot more.
