Squamish Put-in and take-out INFO
« on: October 27, 2007, 05:43:36 PM »

Can anyone tell me a good 4 or 5 km float for the squamish this time of year?

I'd like to get the above info for a safe trip in a pontoon to fish chums.

GPS waypoints would be awesome but simple directions would also work.

Thanks!

There aren't really a whole lot of "put in" and "take out" spots on the river that are 4-5 kms apart that I can think of.

Obvious places are the bridge crossings but those are too far apart.  Mamquam mouth to Howe Sound might be about 4-5 kms or shorter but I really have no idea what the fishing would be like.  Not sure if there are many bars to beach at.

Looking at pics from today, Squamish is high and brown so any bars would probably still be underwater??

Sorry, but that was probably no help. :-\ :-\

In fact, the mouth of the mamquam is anywhere btween 3.25 to 3.39 MILES from the mouth of the squamish depending where you take the measurement and tides.
