Just wanted to report as well...I was there yesterdat also from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. Most fish were colored. Landed 3 spring jacks and lost once clean coho. All fish were hooked using roe. Kept one nice jack. Water was a bit low. I think water is going to drop more if there is no rain.

Cheers,

Are these springs hooked in the upper river pools or they are fresh fish coming in with the tides?  Just want to know if these are old old fish. By the way, what is the water level and colour like?

the water today was great at the cable pool it was at about 2 on the Wier (a shame the web cam is still busted) so the flow was nice and slow.perfect for bait , there is still a little bit of color but vis was a honest 4-5 feet.tomorrow might suck if there is no rain.

i was surprised to see only a few people (6 including me) out today ,as the bait ban is lifted (today being the second day).the last nice bright coho i got was Monday she was a 3 lbs chrome bumper.

this time of year is kinda strange because you can hook a boot and bright fish in the same pool.but i would say there should still be some fresh fish on the way in. i have only talked with one guy who c/r a 40 plus lbs spring and it looks like there are only jacks up in the hatchery.

talked with a fella who fishes the mouth (in a boat) and he is still waiting for things to really heat up out there as far as the springs go.
