Capilano river - November 4, 2007
« on: November 04, 2007, 09:45:14 AM »

Decided to fish some waters close to home today, arrived at the Capilano at first light and started slinging roe. A few coho where caught shortly after first light as well as a couple fresh chum, unfortunately none of the coho were caught by me :'(, But the morning did end on a pretty good note as I got into a feisty little jack spring which was in decent enough shape to take home.

Water was up a little from yesterday, but that did bring in some fresh fish. The next few days should be good fishing if they close the dam back up.

It always amazes me that you can catch coho almost half the year on this flow, what a gem we have right in our backyards!

No mention of cliffs here - I went out as well and no luck for me.  Water was a bit high for my liking but good news for you lucky.  If you have a gold centre-pin and blue rainjacket then I was in your area this morning.

Water still dropping as well.  Went out after work for about an hour and a half.  Saw one coho landed and had two hits on a gold blue fox.  Very pleasant evening.

They're nuts. A guy drown about three years ago when he slipped from the the aforementioned pool and got swept away. It's only a fish folks.

fished it once in desperation when water was low and clear, and will never fish it again, landing a thrashing coho off there is crazy, u need to go to the left climb down the face to the stairs and then land it from there.
