Any one out there planing a camping trip this long weekend to the Chehalis River Rec Site will be a little disappointed . The rec site has been closed indefinitely . There are sites available beside the bridge ( west side ) . I was informed by Frank Ullmann , Forestry manager for this district , told me they will not open up the east side sites gate . I also spoke to Daphne from headquarters in Victoria , she was telling me that the contract had expired earlier this year for hosting the campsite and that they are trying to nagotiate  a deal with the Chahalis Nations to run the site . As well flooding has been an issue and for safety reasons they shut ur down . There is no money to repair it time and time again . So , good luck out there
