Just so I know where is the cedar run?

Also for the fly-division do you just skip trying to catch a fish and go straight to the draw? ;)

I've seen fly guys accound for five steelies and a big silver chum so far this week!!!

Since we are only a few weeks away from the Derby, I think it would be a good time now to start figuring out what kind of food items each person will be able to bring to the luncheon....

I am going to be providing anything that can't be brought by others... I am going to provide hot chocolate for sure, maybe some danishes for dessert, I am bringing all the tables/tents/BBQ etc... we are going to need hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, sandwiches, dessert, pop plus anything alse we can think of !! I also have some firewood set aside for the fire to keep warm :) if anyone else has some wood please let me know ahaead of time

I am pretty sure that we will have Venison Chili again this year which was a huge hit last year courtesy of Thomas....

We will have the Coffee again from Tim Horton's, not 100% positive yet but I think Reaction Fly and Tackle have offered to provide the Coffee this year

please take the time to read this and let me know what you can bring
Thx

To all,  the money being raised could go to diverting the water away from the Ranger Run slide, Last year i contacted David Lamson (president of CRAC), if he had some cashola last year when it was low , they could of maybe got the river back down the Old Ranger Channel and prevented the high coloration of the river and silting of the gravel, Just a thought. If anyone knows David personally inquire about  CRACS needs as the money spent there does good things

Hi Cammer, the CRAC was my first choice to donate to as it was the cause we donated to last year.... unfortunately we approached David this year about donating the money to him and he was not interested :(  I guess the small amount we manage to raise isn't enough .. after alot of thought and suggestions I contacted Frank with SDA and he was more than happy to come to our Derby and receive the money.

Chilliwack River Action Committee

http://www.fishingwithrod.com/crac/

They don't have enough money, they just need a lot more than what is usually given by private citizens due to the complexity of the projects involved. Contact Dave Lamson for more info:

Have we settled on who the proceeds from this derby will be donated to?

I personally would like to see this money used for the chilliwack river exclusively, and not donated to an organization for alternate or general fishing interest use.

Yes I can not wait either. Hopefully my new pin will be here in time. The long range forecast for next week looks to put the river back in perfect shape. Speaking of river I still can not believe that crac would not accept our donation as this is a quote from their web page,
"All interested in preserving the health and sustainability of the Chilliwack River Watershed for future generations are urged to support".
Oh well at least the SDA will put it to good use. Has there been any more confirmed prizes?

If I'm not working I'll be in on this. I'll ask for the day off tomorrow or Monday.
