Chilliwack River March 4th, 2008
« on: March 04, 2008, 05:35:35 PM »

Well i hit the river again today
got there arround 7am
took a look down at the canal
not so many guys today
No fish thats why
they have all moved up river
So up river i went
got talking to this guy that was renting a cabin
he said that he was getting fish most days
Today it was a bit colored so low visability
just how i like it
means the fish will venture into the shallow water
I had made a pass through this run and was on my second pass(different presentation)
the guy i was talking to asked if he could go below me
sure i said
Three casts later he has a fish on
nice wild doe
he starts working his way down the run and i follow
Then its my turn float goes down
fish on
another nice wild doe
He had two more hits and so did i but nothing after that
Another guy walking by stops for a chat and says he hit two wild ones higher up river
I was a nice day out sunshine here and there just kept the chill off
here are two shots of my fish

Nice fish.... I went out today, hooked one upriver and got a couple headshakes but lost it..... Most of the fish must be around Lickman Road still because every one (of the 8 people I talked too) said they hadn't seen any hooked or hooked any themselves, and my friend who is a lot better than me didn't hook one either fishing the same runs (but on the opposite side of the river). Hopefully the spots I fish start filling up because I know fish will hold there since I've already hooked fish there and have seen others caught. Hopefully I can get back on the river Sunday when I get back from Whistler ^^. Have a good week guys, tight lines and catch some fish!

Sounds like a nice day to be out. Unfortunately I had to stay in town to pay my house insurance. Maybe next week...

Right on!
And in one of my all-time favourite mid-river spots to boot!
I lost a nice chromer there a couple weeks ago.

Good on you, man! :D
