Interesting pictures from 'Everyday'. However those are sea lions and not seals, a problem we don't have to deal with up here. At least not yet!!

somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I think seals and sea lions are protected by the same international agreement that is supposed to protect whales.

There probably is an international agreement that covers all sea mammals, but seals are open for harvest on the east coast so I don't know if it is an international agreement or Canadian law that covers them. I think that seals would be governed by canadian law otherwise foreigners would have stopped the east coast seal hunt years ago.
