I am just in the process of buying a new 14' boat.  I am hoping to get out on the Fraser this weekend to fish with my dad.  My dad has cancer that has spread to the bone but is doing pretty well right now with chemo treatments.  He is really looking forward to coming down fishing this weekend .... fishing is and always has been his favorite thing to do.  I guess I am hoping to get an idea of how we might fish.  I will have seats in the boat and am thinking that fishing from the boat may be okay for a few hours.  I guess my question is ... how do people recommend fishing from the boat.  Should we try bar fishing from the boat .... or should we fish a spin-n'glo from the rear of the boat?  What method would people recommend?  Most of our fishing has been from shore but I believe it may be more comfortable sitting in the boat this time.
