Sorry to hear of the break-in, but much more sorry to hear you lost your sticks!!!

As a very amateur player myself, (but hey! not that bad for an amateur of many years experience. Vegas rules.  :D

What were the make, description, ounces,  of your sticks?  I'll pass the info on to my buds if they hear of some nice cues for cheap.

Maybe I'm missing something obvious, but what's the big deal if your insurance papers have your address on them?  So now they'll know where you live - what makes your house different from any other house?

Identity thief, making a new key to steal your truck and potential for vehicle ownership transferring are all problems that can occur from the thief of insurance papers from what I have heard. So, yes it is something to be concerned about  ::)

There is also the concern that the thief knows were you live AND that you are currently not at home (because you're fishing).  = higher odds of an empty house?

This is a bit of a concern when you're out for a few hours, but is a larger concern to keep in mind when parking at places like ferry terminals, airports, etc. where the theif can assume you're gone for a few days...

Excellent news. The people arrested appear to match the descriptions of some suspicious characters in an earlier post.

Call the cops and tell them to check and see if your pool cues are in that stolen truck from the link.

That was Tuesday so now there probably out and crack hungry.  >:(

I had my insurance papers taken and some keys in the car as well. They probably went to my house to see if anyone was home to rip the place off. I am concerned about the identity theft as well. Because the police busted a few people by my place in Surrey that use your ID to get credit cards etc. Someone should go to the courtroom in Chilliwack and get a picture of those losers, and post it at all the fishing spots so we know who they are when there parked there.

I would be afraid to what they will do to the inside of the car  :-X  I think that they would pass it up, they are there to get stuff, not break into an empty car and make a mess. I wanna get an old beater car so when I go out I can roll all the windows down and make sure nothing is in there.

Maybe this was an act of vandalism just to damage the cars with no intention of stealing anything inside.

Lickman Road is a high volume area. There are usually alot of fishermen coming and going, joggers, walkers etc. I suspect that there is a highly organized group that is breaking into cars. People serving as lookouts, and people who are actually doing the breakin.

They punched through the metal under the door handle to gain access to the lock mechanism.
They did steal the change from the ashtray but left other things of value?????

700 dollars damage for a couple bucks change. ( crackheads )

Looked like maybe somebody startled them cause they left valuable stuff on the floor.

I was there for 20 minutes and was fishing close to the parking lot.

I heard a loud noise and walked to the parking lot and there were people fishing right there and nobody saw anything?

Once again lots of people walking and fishing and these guys dont care.

Anybody want to help set up a trap.  Nobody else is going to do anything.  The police said it was not a good idea to park anywhere along the river.

They said the number of breakins is staggering. I was the 7th person to call yesterday.

Doesnt sound like it would be hard to catch them.   >:( >:( >:( >:( The way the gained entry to my vehicle shows these guys know most vehicles weaknesses.
