Canim lake area, September 7th 2008

Fished one of my favorite lakes on Sunday near Canim Lake. One of the nicest days for weather I have had up there period. Fishing was a little slow but 3 of us managed to land 2 fish each after 4 hours. Biggest was 4 pounds. Hope to be back there in October to try again.

Yes, I have property on Hawkins too. It is a nice lake but has enough Pikeminnows to rate it the "Cultus of the Cariboo". That being said some of the locals say it's not unusual to get a 4 pounder out of there. My biggest was just over a pound. You do have Greenlee just minutes away that produces well. Canim I haven't tried yet. Ruth lake nearby, as well as some harder to access places that almost never get fished because there is so many lakes around that are easier to get to and have good fishing anyway. I am slowly picking them off and having a good time trying new places.

You must be referring to the one near Chesterwood, England.
