Sounds good, but in that case make sure you can tell the difference between a spring and a wild coho, as the last picture in my previous post is of a coho, not a spring. Please don't kill our wild coho. (coho with unclipped adipose fin). It can land you in serious trouble with the law.

This is a big Vedder spring: ;)

Spring: black gum, large spots on body, lots of spots all over the tail.
Coho: white gum, smaller and scarcer spots on body, very few spots ONLY on top tail fin.

;)

It is the Tamahi area, just upside the bridge. This fish was a very nice hatcery coho, it was one of tree fish we kill in 14 days.  :D

We fish mostly in the Tamahi, Alison and the bouldery.

This area looks pretty good, but last year we didn't catch any fish there - any tips?

Nice fish!!
The water looks pretty clear. Is that above the slide?
Also I see a spinning reel and what looks to be a spinner. Was that the lure of choice for these fish?

It's blue fox.
Last year's pics.
River is nowhere as clear now as it was last year.
Last year was heaven.

This was from last year, but I don't hope that the Boundary hole is closed (The place where the rivers meet, downstream hatcery) :o
