I want to put line, on a Curado, to fish the Vedder, short float fishing, spoons and blades. I was wondering if anyone has used Power Pro line? I would like to use a braded line.

Power Pro rocks!!

Try to match diameter of braid to your usual mono EG 50lb braid is same dia. of 12lb mono approx.

Also load some mono onto the Curado spool first to avoid the braid slipping.

One other thing to bear in mind is that braid isn't as abrasion resistant as mono so check for line abrasion when fishing.

One of the best braided lines i've ever fished! Used it for the first time back in Europe
and was lucky when I found it at canadian tire. I fish the 20lb in the Rivers. Verry good line
for less money!

One of the main reasons for using braid is that it is a much thinner line and has less drag in the water.  I can't honestly see the point of matching line diameters when just upping the diameter by a small amount should give a decent enough advantage.

OK  but as I said it's not as abrasion resistant so lowering the diameter makes it more susceptible if coming into contact with rocks.
I also use 30lb braid in Powerpro which is roughly the same dia as 8lb mono but it casts a hell of a lot better.

can we not just say it makes a more efficient line in general ? ? ? not so much for steelheading but most other fisheries ?
