I've always wondered why no one else comes down here to fish...
After getting the daily chores done, Marco and I met up at 2:30pm to fish for a couple of hours. The southerly wind was blowing hard and waves were pounding the shoreline, so we had to strictly fish with the big spoons to get the distance that we wanted. I landed one on my first cast again, two minutes after walking from the parking lot!
It must be a lucky spot. Maybe there's gold underneath that patch of sand where I have been standing.
In total I managed to hook three. Two of them grabbed the spoon very close to shore. One of them actually grabbed it when the spoon was about to touch the floating log beside me.
The third fish was the largest today, but it slipped off my hand before Marco got the camera working.
Spudcote phoned and said he was coming down, but he showed up 30 minutes before dark.
That didn't stop his dad from catching one as well. Marco also managed to stay away from the skunk hole by landing this little guy at dusk.
One person got skunked today...
Water clarity seemed to be worse than yesterday, but probably due to the amount of water movement and poor lighting.
