Ya those guys ID it. I caught it off the ferry dock on granville island last week.  I was trying to catch a fish and then use that fish to catch a dogfish. But I ran out of time and he was to nice to kill. But I should have just ate him

Wow I didn't know stripped surf perch got that large locally. I thought the large ones have been wiped out. Those use to be my favorite fish to catchwhen i was a kid. i use to go snorkeling with a small hook and line. I would bait it with baby crabs and swim near the pylons... It was great fun

yeah it was a great day...you guys were slaying the springs like crazy that day...that fillet was awesome!
