That's a unweighted McLeod stickleback- barely fish it, but hit something big on Alta last spring. Something = decent cutty. Might give it a shot sometime in a slow shallow run... I know just which one too.
Best pattern for bulls for me has been a cone-head beige string leach, but its murder to cast on a single hander. I've been toying with switching the rabbit strip out for marabou and using intruder-style hackle to build bulk. This year, I'm gonna try moving away from more exact imitations, and towards more impressionistic or reaction-triggering flies. We'll see how that goes.
