I'll pick up a couple boxes of Tim Horton's doughnuts for the derby...

Unfortunately my plans to make Steelhead gravlax fell through this weekend with the skunking  :-\

Cheers,

Nice to see some of the Tackle shops helping to support this. Is there any other shops going to help?

All of the Tackle shops that are selling tickets have agreed to make donations to the derby :) Stealth floats and DNE have also made donations once again this year, it always surprises me how generous all of these people are and without them we wouldn't be able to have this derby !!  ;D ;D once agaion thankyou to everybody for being so generous !!

Hi everyone. Well Rick the derby day is nearing and I'm sure excited. My wife said she will make up 2 or 3 dozen deviled eggs and also
a veggie plate with dips. Just a question. What if the river is in terrible shape come derby day, would we do it the following week or just go for it. Just wondering because the rains they are a comin'. Anyway's, not to sound gloomy but I was just wondering about that. I am very excited and know it will be, once again a resounding success, both for us, the fishermen/woman and for the community.

Well looking at the 14 day trend on the weather network the weather looks good. But we all know things can change but lets keep our fingers crossed that it will not.

So right SeaRun, I remember that year. I would have to poke the ice out of each eyelet before I could cast again, Brrrrr. Rain is no problem for me and if you were able to look at my many pics taken over the years many show me to be a wet but still smiling boy. I was just saying if a worst case scenario happened with water vis. almost zero and the water raging. Probably not going to happen so just disregard the question and carry on with your regular scheduled programming. :)

WOW WOW WOW. If this in any indication of what you amazing Steelhead fisherman have been catching...wow wow wow. This was caught right in front of the Chilliwack River Cam. People from around the world wanted to know, what was it, what did it weigh, who caught it, how did he catch it and on and on it went.
Good luck to each and everyone of you at the Derby. Just wish the derby was right below the camera so the WORLD could see all of you guys/women.
CONGRATULATIONS to this mystery fisherman.

Good Morning Die hard. The answer to your question is, 24X7, 365 days of the year, and we work in shifts. Just as we do on the live eagle cams.
