Chilliwack River, February 5th 2009
« on: February 05, 2009, 08:39:18 PM »

Today broke a 3 day streak for me of not having a bite this week as I had 3 of the best chances one could ask for (the same fish) and Rodney was there to witness the last one.

Donot know how I missed it but these things do happen. Fishing seemed slow in the area we were in again and I only heard of one fish hooked and lost, less than yesterday. Well at least we had success at Cookies Grill with another good late breakfast. Maybe tomorrow things will change around as the fish should be there one day. :-\

Water conditions were not a problem.

This photo pretty much sums up today's highlight. Shoulder to shoulder, tangling each other's line. ;D

Check out the gulls. I was surprised that Marco did't drop the rod and pull out a rifle.

Good to hear about you breaking your streak Chris, sorry you didn't land one but like you said, these things happen. Fishing will pick up. Perhaps a little bit of rain to speed the in-flow of steelies and change things up just a bit. Thanks for the report guys.

Yep, some rain to stir the drink a bit should bring in another wave of fish, just in time for the derby. ;D

That a novel idea using a float tube to fish the Vedder ;D I just bring brisket.

Was there yesterday too and had one jump right in front of me. No luck though.
