Chilliwack River, February 8th 2009
« on: February 08, 2009, 03:50:51 PM »

Decided to hit the Vedder today, slept in a bit and didn't get to the river until after 8 !! weren't many people around considering it was a Sunday , fished a few spots upper and mid, ended up hooking into a beautiful doe with some big shoulders, she took me into the rapids a few times and took me a ways downstream but I managed to get her in for a quick photoshoot before returning to to continue her upstream journey.. here are a couple of pics..

see you next Sunday at the derby
cheers TH

well it was a alright day on the river today. fished the lower river for about an hour with not many anglers in sight
after that hour there was a bit more, 5 minuets after an angler showed up i see his rod bent and a fish splashing,
a little while after that i see another angler with a fish on his line.. so at this point I'm thinking ok wheres my fish..
so i work some more water and BOOM the float goes down, i set the hook and the rod is bent, my heart is racing as i reel in
i find that nothing is happening and its not fighting but I'm bringing it closer then i see what I've caught a nice big tree branch..
so that was my day of fishing, still waiting for my first steelhead 0-7 trips

funny thing is to crop the photo only to see a youtube video on the fish being caught on another thread.  Unfortunately really won't keep the spot all that secret.

question here though--- WHY post a picture if your going to blank out the background?? it makes the pic look kinda crappy i think. If your going to post pictures of fish then perhaps take a quick pic towards the water if your scared someone might see your "spot" or suffer the wrath of posting a pic on the internet or just dont post the picture  ::) My 2 cents. well maybe 3  ;) LOL

NICE Hardy reel ya got there Lumps  ;D

hook, I did it just so you would have something to complain about, I thought I would post a report just so I could see how many off topic responses I could get

You should have used your feet to hold the fish like what Marco did if you wanted to generate responses. ;)

Nice catches everyone. I sat on my couch and watched "Family Guy" all afternoon.
