Regarding daily quota of trout at Green Timbers, I have received numerous emails about it as the irregularity between City of Surrey and MoE has confused anglers. The region 2 daily quota of four trout applies to Green Timbers Lake. The City of Surrey decided to introduce the daily quota of one fish a couple of years ago, but COs follow MoE's regs. After identifying the problem, MoE and Surrey met last year to tackle the issue. The outcome was a proposal of daily quota of two trout to be introduced for April 2010. In the meantime, the daily quota of trout at Green Timbers remains four fish.

The hatchery will now look at stocking Rice and a couple of lakes in Squamish next (Browning and Brohm).

Enjoy this weekend's excellent weather at your local lake.

Hmmm, Lafarge trout has been fished out already with the huge crowd.  ;D  Oh boy, never seen so many fishermen in my 22 years of living there. It has become the Lake fishing mecca of Vancouver. Many fishermen I talk to are not locals.

It has been almost two weeks since the lake has been stocked? Any information on next stocking?
I fished Como Lake for the first time the other day. A nice alternative from the over-crowded Lafarge. Interestingly, the fish size over there seems much smaller than those in Lafarge. I thought they stock the same size fish for both lakes.
