I'm situated in Vancouver and want to get away for one afternoon/morning of fishing.  I don't want to drive very far (3 hours max).  Any suggestions where I could get the following:

1.  Good fishing
2.  Boat rental
3.  Cabin rental

if you want to do some ocean fishing you can go to.  www.penderharbourresort.ca  or .com  take the horshoe bay ferry 45 mins - then an 1:15 min drive.. beutiful place!! lots of cabins sights and boat rentals.  even canoes.. if you want to go out and do some cod fishing or what not.  Thats always a little bit of fun!

Mile High lodge just outside of merrit on face lake is realy nice spot and has great fishing!

Corbett lodge just outside merrit.. i don't know the rates but it is a pay to fish lake.

The fish are 10lbs + in the lake. it is just off the main road.

How about the Coquihala Lakes Lodge - Near the old Toll Booth.

It's close enough for a 1 nighter and a little more affordable than Corbett. (but the fish ain't near as big!)

Doesnt rod talk about Lake Mary on saltspring (bass)...that has always sounded interesting to me.

Off hand all I can think of would be Pinantan Lake just past Paul Lake..They have all 3 although the fish are not huge you can easily catch lots up to 12" and the swimming is good I think too. I used to go up there and rent a boat when I was living in Kamloops and they have cabins but I never stayed in one.  It may be closer to 4 hours driving though as it is 40 minutes maybe 45 from Kamloops, could be a tad longer as I never really pay attention to time. It is past Paul Lake.

It has been a few years since I have been there. But I caught fish almost anywhere on that lake.

Pinantan Lake resort  The main page says rainbows to 24 "  and they mention Cabins, Boat rentals, RV park.

Hopefully I can get up there this year.  The ice fishing is pretty good too.
