If you don't mind me asking what part of the upper Chilliwack did you catch these trout? I'm looking for a good spot for trout on the Chilliwack/Vedder.

You can catch them any where as they are all threw out the river, just do a little walking and searching, it'll be good as salmon season is coming soon so you can learn the river.  ;)

Dereke the big push of whites came all through september last year. if this year follows the same path then there should be fish coming in already in fair to decent numbers. best way to get these early chromers is with GOOD roe  ;D

the water is dirt low...so few fish it is honestly not worth even trying.

I wouldn't even bother trying right now.  Still too early.  From my experience, I found that it peaks at around Thanksgiving weekend, or maybe even a week earlier.  But it really depends on the rain, when the big dumps come.

I heard they are catching some cohos in the chilliwack river now.  I'm not sure what part of it though.
Is the long weekend a good time to go to Vedder/chilliwack to camp by the river and try some fishing?  ???
