Pinks are way cleaner and firmer in the lower Fraser than anywhere else.

The males have the start of the bump and the females are chrome (for pinks).

Was out yesterday by No. 3 Rd pier in Richmond to do some scouting. Didn't see any sign of pinks in the 1.5 hours I was there. There were 5 other guys fishing along the bank. As I suspected, it's still a bit early.

Was out at ambelside on sunday and did not see any jumpers.
But the timing was poor i was there from 11am-5pm, and the water was very choppy
I was not fishing just there with the family, but keeping and eye on the water.

The smelt fishermen where aslo doing poorly in the day, but i heard that overnight was productive.

Hello everyone,
Are any pinks in the Fraser River and Fraser River Tidal-water right now? In 2007 i caught a few crome pinks on a Blue Fox spoon at Hatzic Flats where people fish for sturgeon, I am wondering if they are up there right now? If they are, are you permitted to fish for them, if so what is the limit?

Thanks Nicolas.

The limit is 2 and yes it is open. Was around that area today and saw nothing. They are there but not in good numbers yet. Soon though very soon.

What's the situation on the pinks?  Has anyone been in the lower part of the fraser and caught some?

I was out on Sunday and yesterday looking for Pinks in the lower Fraser.
Saw more Sockeye than Pinks jump in the 5 or 6 hours between the 2 days.

I too was wondering if Pinks were open last weekend because I hadn't seen a notice saying that they are open.
Then I looked at the website quoted above and saw that the Pinks never close!

Tides are bad right now for Pinks anyways - both high tides are at night - 05:00ish & 20:00ish
