Which FWR member caught the last pink salmon from shore in Richmond?

My last was Sept 19 at about 3:30 pm.

Sure didn't seem like 17 million fish... Does anybody know how many the commercials intercepted before we even got to see em.

The in-season estimate of the pink salmon run size at 50% level has been 17 to 19 million fish.

The commercial TAC (total allowable catch) of pink salmon for 2009 is 7.9 million fish.

I have to admit....8 million fish caught by the commercial fishermen is a TON! That's was supposed to be all the sockeye that came through...but ended up being 1 million....different topic. But 8 million fish...Wow. Well I hope it helps them out.

I think it's more like 10,000-15,000 TONS depending on average size of fish.

It's a lot of fish either way
