The trick is to fish away from it.

Yes, I encountered the school as well out towards Annacis between 6:30 - 7:30. Not alot of Jumpers but wave after wave of fish finning the surface. Some action, but there were alot of tugs and barges and dredge ships throwing waves and it was tough to keep a line in the water.

It's been almost a week since my last outing for pinks on the south arm Fraser.  Fished from 8am to 10am and got nothing.  Saw a guy hooked onto 3 fish but did not land any.  He was bringing in the fish too fast, the hook popped out and even lost his spinner.  I told him to loosen up the drag and take his time but after there were no more hook ups for him. It was nice to be out.  Hope they will still be there next week.  If not, off to the vedder.  I love the vedder.  It's one of the most beautiful river.

Fished for about an hour Yesterday at Derby Reach. Lots of actiojn on the water but it was the first time i did not get anything. It looked as if the fish were staying farther out in the river as i did not see them jumping as close to the shoreline as they usually do. I will head down again tonight for a couple hours hope there is still some good fishing this weekend.

I went around Westham very early, trying to catch the rising tide, there are definitely some fish in the system, but not as much as I've heard here; no nibble at all, either...

Any stories from the North Arm? A lot of stories that I read seemed to be from the south side...

reading through the regulations for pink...
http://www.pac.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/fm-gp/rec/tidal-maree/fraser-eng.htm

one thing I do not understand - can someone clarify what is the difference between "daily limit" and "possession limit"?
for pink, for example, daily limit is 4, and possession limit is 8
how can I "possess" 8 pinks, but keep only 4?
what do I do with the other 4?

?

4 per day but you may have 4 from the previous day. For example if you are camping for a night you may have on your person that days limit plus the limit from the previous day

If you were from say the Okanagon and coming down here for salmon fishing you can only posses 8 salmon. Even if you fish for 3 days straight you only have a 2 day possession limit which is 8 fish. If you were pulled over and had 12 fish in the vehicle you can be fine for possessing too many fish.

Say you're out of town and in Richmond for the weekend. You go out tonight and catch and retain your daily limit. That's 4 pinks. You go out tomorrow and catch another limit ie. 4 more pinks. You go out on Sunday and catch another 4 pinks. You cannot keep those because you have already reached your possession limit of 8. (4+4)

Where is this posession limit applicable, ie. car, campground, hotel, residence?  When is this posession limit no longer valid, or can you only ever have 8 fish in the freezer?  Just wondering. :-\
