the water seems to be so low from what I've seen I would not think that any fish have moved past the highway bridge.

is it worth trying to back troll the mouth? or to early?
I'm new to back trolling but might give it a shot this week.

I remember a buddy stating the water was way too low a couple years ago.  Agreed, the water was very low.  Well I brought him to the top end of the upper river and we were into close to 25 chrome spring jacks and 3 coho in a morning and not another person around.  I have had several days like this in very late August and the first couple days of September.  This was my favorite time of year on the Vedder.

Glx i think you are exaggerating a little, the ho's don't show until October! Someone told me the same thing years ago i went up their and nothing but a few booty springs. I heard the Bulkley and Telkwa are having a bumper crop of steelies, it just carpeted with them! Might take a drive up their and try that in early September.

Just out of curiosity, but how do you know this? Did they say it in the paper or something?
