Tidal Fraser River, September 17th 2009
« on: September 17, 2009, 11:20:49 AM »

Slooooow this mornng. Saw only 2 jumpers and only 3 fishermen out. Took a drive down Garry Point to check it out. Saw on the horizon what appears to be some sort of long barrier. Anybody know what that is ?

Snuck out to the river as the tide was changing from low to high - didn't expect too much as there were a few people who been out since morning with only one pink to show for their efforts - but within 10 casts - hooked and landed a beautiful looking 15 pound chrome red spring doe.

Ohh Baby.   ;D

Was a constant stream of pinks on the incoming tide today in the Ridge Meadows area ( 230 to 630 )
put maybe a dozen in the net and played with more, inc two who followed my bead swivel right to my feet

yesterday in the same spot had way less fish around and few on.
today farther up we found some here and there for some fun.
Saw DFO checking boats. Also saw the CO's way out in the Pitt Polder dikes yesterday pull a guy over who had two rods on his pedal bike outfitted with double treble hooked bass lures.as we walked past the CO said " we don't have time to give you a ticket now.
then they sat in their truck for twenty minutes.
I guess since the guy wasn't using the trebles they coudn't write him up.
