Day out with the Pinks~underwater.
« on: September 27, 2009, 08:45:49 AM »

Another beautiful day it was yesterday, it was a hunt for those cohos but came up empty handed.  However I enjoyed watching those beautiful pinks made up a better part of my day from the KWB to the limit hole.
Enjoy

Thanks for sharing.  I love it.  What video camera did you use for that?  What is KWB?

Do people try to catch the salmon in such shallow waters?  What's the technique for water that shallow?

Olympus 850 SW camera.  You'll see people trying to catch them in shallow and even in shallow holding spawning beds too!  Technique~lets not go there, enough has been said about it.
Let's look at the positive note to all this.....we a strong pink resource this year to enjoy, families are getting out, I mean the whole family with 3 mini vans equipped with lawn chairs, Bbq and the sun umbrella, Grandma/pas, toddlers and the handicaps are all catching fish!!! for once lets leave them to their glory.   ;D

The Coho fry was interesting too, lots of activity underwater think there was a mountain white fish there too.

Glad you guys enjoyed this video, I'm in the middle of editing some coho and spring videos but rather blurry on some shots so I'll try for some clear footage of the cohos and springs as the numbers increase, they are not as spooked.
