Another great day out at the river today fishing with some friends.  A beautiful day it was again and what better way to showcase the Chilliwack River to some friends.  Our hunt today was for some White Springs, the lower river offered the best success for newbies to hook up to a spring.  Lickman was a good start but offered us with Pinks only, hiking was in order if we wanted some smelly white action.  2 hours later and several pools/runs up we connected into some springs, one chum and several cohos.  Friend hooked up into his first coho of the year and he was excited as we worked this run from top to the tail out, the springs caught were not as fresh as I expected but nevertheless it provided some action for my guests.
Here is a different angle to our "bragging rights"

Nice job.  By any chance, were you using the Lumix TS1 camera?  I've got one myself, and it records video in HD.  It takes great photographs, but I have yet to master the video and underwater photography!

Thanks, trying something new, enjoying swimming with the fish and trying to get that perfect shot.  Hopefully the fishing community will appreciate a different angle of fishing.  Rod and some members have done a super job of fishy shots on this site which I always enjoyed looking at so keep it up fellas.

Loved the video Scales. 

On your advice I picked up a Olympus, but got the 6010.  I'm in Hong Kong right now and your model is no longer available here.  Will be back in Vancouver tomorrow and looking forward to getting onto the river and seeing if I can take some great shots too.

is the Olympus 6010 a waterproof camera ?? I dont think we even have it here yet  We do have the super tough line from Olympus though which are nice and can take alot more abuse then the previos series of waterproof/shockproof

The Olympus uTough 6010 is same as 6000 except with a few extra features.  The 6010 is advertised as able to be submersed to 3m and shockproof to a height of 1.5m.  Not sure when or if it will be offered in Canada/USA. 

I was deciding between the 8000 and 6010.  Decided on the 6010 because it was not as heavy and cheaper.  The 8000 is more robust though.
