Veddar Springs
« on: October 12, 2009, 12:16:29 PM »

Sat 10-10, water was too clear and low and it doesn't appear springs are in except for a few running straight to the hatchery. Not too many vehicles and found out why.
Pinks are small but nice to see.

Theres quite a few big springs around, All sitting in that deep faster chop water, the majority of them are nothing close to chrome. The pinks are all ripe, the next week of rain should wash them out and the the smell.  :-X

Agreed, in the deeper holes in the canal there are lots of springs - lots of anglers too. Upper had much fewer fish. The rain shoud, spread things out a bit.  :)

Had an awesome day yesterday sight fishing for coho in tailouts.
Hooked 3 landed 1, all were hatchery, and I watched all fo them take my bait/colorados. Funny, only one of the hits made any movement in my float.

Sandshrimp or another type? I don't keep the fish for eating. I get mind out of the salt.
How many fish over 30, 40 lbs?

Lot's under and just up from the crossing, lost one when I got it into shallower water last week and landed another on Saturday c. 25lbs was fun and my first spring, also snapped off a real monster when I realized it was hooked in tail. Spent the rest of the day trying to avoid them and the pinks and finally got a really nice Coho around 6pm after loosing a nice chrome doe that ran straight at me jumped on the bank, then back in and snapped the hook. Now see what all the fuss about Coho is!!
