Capilano - From Low to blown

Well the Cap is now officially blown.  I was getting excited watching the levels go 1..2..3..4 then BLOWN  :o

Hopefully she goes down a bit.

True enough I had my best day there one November when it was blown and absolutely pouring rain chucking spoons into a back eddie that didn't exist with lower water.

just returned from lower end, very dirty and no fish seen. at least 10 trying to fish but nothing doing yet. 3pm i left.

I've been waiting for this since June!  And I too have had some of my best days on that flow in the white water blown out conditions.  The fish will hold/travel in the areas with least current.  It greatly reduces the lanes.

Just a warning to be extra careful.  She's not to be taken lightly in conditions like this.  If you go in, you're not coming out right now.

Must of got more rain there. The Vedder may of risen 2 inches today at best.

Seymour is high and dirty (maybe 1' vis) as of 6pm Friday night and a slide has come down into Pool 88 carrying about 5-10 trees with it.  I think the slide is recent, but its hard to tell as its my first trip there since spring.  Fortunately, the nicest part of the pool for coho is still unobstructed.

We just saw a guy scaling back across a log jam from an island at one of the pools. Crazy.

Mr.P : Well said bro. I've not exp's the BC rivers, though, I've tasted Ont Rivers, can't imagine BC!  Whoever goes out, pzzzzzz be carefull.

I was fishing the lower end and a lot big springs jumping and moving upriver with the seals right on there tails. Managed a couple springs.One about 12lb doe and another over twenty. Lost the big one.I thought for sure I had him stopped from rippin down river as he was coming back up and then he jumped a couple feet out of the water and snapped my 20 lb maine line with one aggressive head shake! What a rush!

very nice i had one on yesterday for a short while as well didnt see the fish but by the way it pulled i figured it to be a spring maybe a chum
