can i just let you in on something about the Kanaka coho. You might find some fish when it is open for retention however i find its tough going trying to find ones that arent getting dark already or trying to start up redds at this time. Please if you go there watch where your wading and dont harrass these fish. try finding areas where your seeing brighter fish, moving fish and such as to actually catch biting fish
We walked this river last year for a long distance even with a couple sketchy spots and only found 3 nice fish. I think this was 2nd weekend of November last year
I was a little surprised and their condition to say the least.
there are much better places to go where they get more coho and can handle some pressure. Im sure you must know of where i mean
and its not to far away either.
