Talked to the hatchery guys a few years ago about the tags and they said they put them on when they do their seine netting. They did not say why.

The new path is through the campsite side of the river. We walked it for over and hour . It takes you almost down to the mouth of the river. Lots of log jams and big pools way down low.

Hey noxcape I don't think anyone said that ...you were fishing the hatchery outlet channel by the sounds of it but if you went that far you were well beyond the boundary.

The boundary is fairly well marked and it is quite close to the hatchery.

you would have eventually met up with the main river if you walked far enough.

Don't beat yourself up over it. It was an honest mistake by a well intentioned individual. It's not as if chum are in danger of extinction or anything. It's just unfortunate for you that it happened publically ;)

Here you go!

http://www.hancockwildlifechannel.org/staticpages/index.php/20091002210256540

People are fishing this channel! I see the hooks and wool or bait floating by! Is that allowed at that spot? I dont know where the camera is but seems like a great spot for snaggers.

some beauty cuttys and rainbows in there tho! ;D ;D ;D ;D
