Cypress Lake, Eagle Ridge
« on: October 25, 2009, 02:46:45 PM »

i know its a bit too late to hit that lake this year, but in the spring i will give it another try. (last summer i fished from shore with float and worm), not one bite. i was wondering, has anyone caught anything in cypress lake in the last couple of years, or has the lake been winter killed? i know the lake was stocked for several years a while back, but has it been stocked again? thanks for the tips.  :D

Someone mentioned in another thread that they thought it had no fish in it.

I live on the plateau. I heard it winterkilled last year - and can believe that. We had snow on the ground from Xmas day through to end-Jan. Tried a few years ago after a long hike up - nothing. But it was a nice hike.

That was me.  I drive up there every couple months, and although I see bugs on the water, there weren't any fish surfacing.  Haven't had the urge to bring a boat up yet.

I got to say, worms are a pretty killer bait.  I fish probably take them as leaches.
