This is a lower priced one.  Is it doable we use this to search for steelhead when walking along the river bank?

is this serious or are you trolling  ???

My god, I can picture it now - some dude walking along the Vedder holding a long stick with a transducer attached to the end of it in one hand, and a fishfinder and his gear rod in the other!  LOL

Didnt someone actually make something like that... I think I saw it at Canadian Tire.

A much better way would be to get yourself a pendulum and walk up and down the river.  When the pendulum suddenly starts swinging with a different arc, thar be the feesh.  Its easy man.

it has a wireless transducer that you tie onto your line, cast it out then reel it in slowly and it wirelessly sends the signal to the screen mounted on your rod.  Then you have a picture of the bottom and you can retie with your bait and fish.  OR you can leave it floating for a real time pic.  Don't know that it would be any good on a faster moving flow.....

I had another awesome day on the Methow.  Caught 6 more steelhead.  That's 16 in 4 hours of fishing this year.  Big fish today was 12 lbs.  I got owned by one that easily pushed 20.  Kept my hands shaking for 10 minutes afterwards.

I thought we have a steelhead paradise here in BC. No???   ;D
I guess the Americans can afford $$$ for their steelhead stocking programs. Just print some more money.  :D ;)
Can't wait for retirement so I can camp out down south for steelies.  :D
