Maybe the question should be "how often do you fight with your wife/GF about going fishing?" !!!  ::)

Wow, you guys are an inspiration. This year I would say I am at 15 days fishing - some full, some just a couple of hours.

I hope to do more next year, but with job, wife, kids, friends, other hobbies it will be tough.

How do you guys do it?

I average 40-50 days a year but would certainly like to get out more than that!

Well I don't have as many obligations as most. I have a fairly busy school schedule, I manage a hockey team, I have a girlfriend, and I pull in the odd shift at a Tackle store. I get out fishing as much as I can by having everything ready to go at any given point, I can leave to go fishing in less than 5 minutes. I try never to make excuses about the weather, schoolwork, or any other engagement that may keep me home. And although I have lots of fishing friends, I'm not afraid to fish by myself. Little things like that increase the amount of fishing time significantly. When I used to live 5 minutes from a river, I'd fish it ever day from October to April. I'd fish an hour before class and a few hours after.

26-50 times per yr.  Am not a passionate fisherman like some of you are but definately there are times every yr. I get the "fishing bug" where I feel a real passion.
Signs are I look at all my equipment & start sorting things out.  Or get my fishing plan ready before heading out.
Use this much weigh, this lenght leader, these 3 lures etc....
Mind you I must need alot of improvement as I'm the only one who did not land a pink.  :-[ had them on but they got off. But my 83 yr old dad lands 3.
Mind you had some big ones on but could not net them nevertheless it is exciting just to have something at the end of the line fighting hard.
One lady said to me once something like: "People who sportfish are..." forget exactly the next words but it was like we belonged in a past century for having this interest like it was the most boring thing anyone can do. (that's her opionion anyways)
Fishing is exciting because of the whole experience...fresh air;getting out from behind 4 walls; outdoor nature views; seeing birds & animals ; outdr. sounds.

I have a missus who enjoys sleeping in on the weekends (we have no kids so she is able to do so).  As such, I generally slip away in the wee hours to get in a few hours of fishing - come rain or shine.  ;D

The last 2 years I didn't do much fishing at all.  This year I have been out at least 50 times, maybe more.

I have a 2 1/2 year old at home and work 5-6 nights a week while the wifey works a dayjob.  My fishing excursions are on the weekends at first light for a few hours and then I have been fishing the Fraser for 2 hours every Sunday while my boy and wife are at church.

Can't wait to introduce my boy to fishing next spring, already have him hooked on watching the chehalis river cam  :D

I've just started to get back into fishing. I've gone about 15 or 17 times the past 2 months. Mostly trout fishing, going to get myself ready for steelheads for december
