I also like this site as it shows where you are in the tide swing.

Thanks much for the tide table information.   It turns out the Vancouver tide tables show something similar and the peak high/low tides are very close to the squamish peak low/highs - I thought it might be different.

Personally, I wish they would keep the retention of Chums at zero.

I wish they'd build a state of the art hatchery on the upper part of this river because mark my words, it will remain the poorest searun fish system in region 2 until they do. I don't think there is another river even close to that size that is so unbeliveably barren.

I don't see this happening, in the foreseeable future.  There was an article in yesterdays paper outlining how till 2025 the new Canada Line will be a money pit with it running at an incredible deficit each year till that time. And with the Olympic debt to be paid off there won't be much money around to spend on hatcheries.  Until an Environment Minister is in place with a long term plan as to how they envision B.C. 25 to 50 years from now, I do not see much changing at all.

Hatchery's are federal responsibility, no?

Until the day comes where the management of the West Coast salmon fishery is based in BC or we get more MP's from BC to stand up for our province's fishery management not much will change.
The by-election in Coq / New West and the inquiry into the missing sockeye seem very co incidental.
