Decided to take the Spratley out on the Nicomen today. Got to the launch to find the gates locked. Oh well just carry it over the gate and down to the launch. We had the entire slough to ourselves

Beautiful day to be on a boat except for the cold...Oh and the fact the place was a ghost town. We fished it for 3.5 hours chucking flies and trolling flies. Not one rise or roll the entire time anywhere.

We stopped by the Stave and fished it for about 30 minutes. Nothing but zombies around and no fresh fish rolling. Surprised to see lots of cars in the usual spots busy for it being nothing but spawners around. We fished a section all to ourselves and saw nothing fresh or even close to it.

Salmon season is over for this guy. Cutthroat and Steelhead next!!!

Electric. So nice and quiet. It was like glass out there this morning. Also the nice thing about the smaller boat and electric on this slough is being able to see bottom. It can go from 4 feet to 2 feet very quickly. I use a 50lb Minn Kota Maxuum on my Spratley.

What length is your spratley? I was thinking about getting a pram but i see the spratley is aluminum and will defiantly last. If you don't mind me asking, How much did you pay for it?

Its 10.5 feet long, and after taxes and everything about $2000 at Sea Run in Coquitlam.

When I went out in search of a still water pram I wanted one for life. I looked at several different boats and for me the Spratley was the winner hands down.

There is a guy who gets up every morning to fish the slough and if he gets nothing in 27 mins they lock the gate up. Just to save anyone the trouble.

water is too low in the winter, might be able to go to the bridge by staying in the small stream bed.
