I think sage is really overrated.

It's exactly what I used to say until I actually gave one a really good try. They are superb rods, say what you may.

I now own two Sages (one XP series fly rod and a 4120 brown blank drifter), and if and when I get the chance to purchase more, I will.

You get what you pay for.

Sages are nice rods but too heavy for their sizes IMO. I just got a Loomis 1263C GL3 for my baitcaster and it's freakin awesome. SO LIGHT, sensitive, fast action, and plenty of backbone. Up to you tho.. everyone's different and likes different things ;D
