So, if the majority of your line is on the water and 8 feet are under the water weighted and you have 3' of leader then presentation which you swing threw the tail out to hookfish........................... Flossing/ spey fishing/ swinging a fly?????
Give it a rest, using a float to guild your line to swing a tail-out is not flossing, its standard fishing practice. Watch a flyfisher work a tailout with a sink tip, fail to see the difference. Using your Vedder set-up with 8' of leader from the weight is anouther story.

oh my, i haven't laughed so hard since burke and nonis went to the leafs. thanks for the levity guys, and rod your post is a classic. just a side note years ago when i guided on the vedder i had the pleasure of guiding a couple of u.s. anglers who were experts at bb they really put on a clinic. bb roe and shrimp with 2ft. leaders.
