Well it looks like the rivers will not be fishable this weekend with all the rain coming so if you are wondering the best way to tie jigs and fish them then take the seminar that Rod from Bent Rods is putting on this saturday at Hatch Matchers. It will be the best $5 you will spend. Phone the store to sign up. I think there is only about 10 or so spots left. You even get to tie 2 of your own.

yg, are those dumbell eye ones tied on jig hooks?
If so do you have difficulty with the leader wrapping around the eyes?

yea those are on jig hooks, and no i haven't had any problems, jigs are meant to ride parrallel in the current, and ur knot should sit straight up off the eye of the hook, the line should never get a chance to wrap up.

as you can see the dumbells are big ones, but they're not that heavy so i fish those with lighter gear. thats the reason why the jigs themselves are smaller in size.

i have more, they're in my vest, too lazy to dig em out. These guys are just stock for the soldiers missing in action.

I really like the fur/rubber combo so I thought I would give it a go.
These are some flesh version I made.

This one is my fave.  I have never even fished it but I like how it looks.  My favorite flesh jig anyway that I tied.

order them from RVRFSHR in Oregon, they come pre poured with lead heads. You then powder paint them with Pro Tec paint. The painting is unbelievably simple and easy to do, quite cheap too and you will get a more durable finish than the Aerojig's.

I think tackle shops should carry them. I got mine from Bob's Sporting couple of years ago. Unfortunately, they are no longer in business.
