hi Costas, i know the fishing department of the Army and Navy in New Westminister are well experienced fishermen and i found it quite comfortable to ask them questions. if they arent busy, they even walk down the aisles and share the knowledge with you.

cheers

Vic ;D

Costas, buddy when I want to know something I hit the internet, much like you are doing. However you are only going to glean so much from people on forums, check out you tube or google to find out the answers. Want to know about roe bags, holding water for steelhead, jigs, whatever it might be there are so many articles, videos, blogs, ect that you can tap into. You will get much more in depth info if you know where to look. good luck

if i get all the materials i need would u be able to explane to me how to tie them up propely?

If the mesh material is on a continuous roll, cut off a square piece about 3" x 3".
Put 3 or 4 or 5 water-hardened eggs in the middle.
Pull up the corners and twist them slightly into a cone.
Use about 10 wraps of the Spiderthread tight against the eggs and snap it off on the last wrap.

I sometimes throw a jensen egg in the mix for a little scent.
Use different numbers of eggs and try different colours of mesh - white, pink, red.

They last a really long time so you won't need too many of them - 10 or so for the day.
If you get a strike but are not sure, you can usually tell if one or more of the eggs have been crushed.

Edit: I push the  hook through the egg sack just under the knot then slip the whole thing under the bait loop.

Ok heres a neat tip...go to Michaels craft store and grab a role of the stuff they use to make wedding veils, if I remember I think it was 8 bucks you get 100yds of the stuff so it will last quite awhile, just cut into 3"x3" squares and bobs your uncle...tight lines... ;D

thats a good tip Bassonator. I personally went into a fabric store and got 3metres of the stuff and think it was even cheaper and they even had different colours cause i rather use coloured netting like pink or orange
