Thanks! Anyways, what are some good baits for rainbow trout in Winter? I know the basic baits but i dont know which one works specially well in winter.

im not an expert at bait fishing for trout, but i think powerbait and single eggs, they work good for me anyways

Oh cool. I used the worm whole time and i used powerbait salmon eggs for last 20 min but didnt get anything. What coulour powerbait did you use with what rig?

are you all talking about fishing at Green Timbers ? or is there other locations involved here ? 

at GT when i fished powerbait i found that the bright green and orange colours worked best but of course some days they really love pink LOL green is still the best producer i think. Try taking some shrimp with you and tossing one onto the hook, I hear they work 

with all this warm weather we have you could probably fool those dumb fish with flies as well

Ye.. Im talking about Mill Lake. I have Chartuse and Pink powerbait and i have Pink Salmon Egg Powebait. I should buy some more colours of powebaits.. So many to chose from though.

I used to do good at Mill lake when I was a kid (about 12-15 years ago)  using power bait off the bottom.  Just to the right of the boat launch by the parking lot on north side.  One time I hooked a monster that came out of the water my jaw dropped and then my line snapped   It looked like a salmon.  I haven't fished there for years, but last year I went there to check it out as I live 10 minute drive away, and I noticed some big bomber chirony shucks floating around.

OH... Really? Thakns for the info. I'll try the right side of the boat lunch. You mean the boat launch beside the dock(not the walking bridge or whatever) right? I'll try there out.

yeah.  it was a long time ago last I fished there, but I don't see why it would've changed.  I used to just cast out and put rod in rod holder and wait.  I'd suggest a sliding wait system.  Cast out and reel in abit so the wait is against the swivel (put a small bead inbetween weight and swivel, then tie leader to hook) Nowadays I'm more into flies, haven't used power bait in eons.
